This yet another flash post to show you the new house release by Not so Bad. Maybe it is my inner geek that used to play Sims 2 back then, only to build houses (and occasionally torture sims to death), or the fact that architectural designs fascinate me but I'm a house junkie in SL. I keep changing houses monthly (or even sooner) and I'm often amazed by the quality of the designs a lot SL builders have in their works. The new Rokeya prefab by Not so Bad is no exception as you can see in the pics above. Both the texture and the mesh work are impressive (as usual by NsB) and if you like modern prefabs then you will love this.

This is a quick post about a pretty cool collaboration between Cheeky Pea and Consignment available at the current round of The Garden. It includes a sofa bed (actually opens to become a bed!), couch, pouffes (not in the pic), a table and a television set. The set comes with both PG and adult animations. The Christmas tree is a really neat group gift from Celoe and the house is Scarlet Creative's item for this round of Collabor 88.

This a post about winter, awesome event stuff and a beautiful sim. Berry's blog keeps saving me from my writer's block with another Monday challenge. This time I get to answer a bunch questions about winter and it really suits all the awesome winter stuff I have bought in SL lately. Not only that but it was the perfect excuse to do pics in this new beautiful sim called "Yuki no yume", you should defintely visit it.

1. What is the December/Winter season like where you live? Standard Mediterranean winter. Cold but not too cold and since I live near the sea I rarely get to see snow.
2. When you think of winter, what’s the first thing that pops into your head?  Melomakarona! It's a traditional Greek dessert mainly made during the Christmas holiday season and believe me, it tastes good.
3. Have you ever played any extreme winter sports? Pee...snow drawing?
4. What do you like most about this season? Snow, gifts, food, holidays, cool clothing...what's not to like? Unlike summer that's probably my least favorite season, winter is pretty awesome.
5. Do you celebrate Christmas, Hannukkah, Kwanzaa or another holiday during this time of year? Christmas but not in a religious way (not even close as far as I am concerned). It's more like an excuse to exchange gifts and eat food I can't cook myself.

This is a geeky post about geeky decor, geeky events and geeky memes. The Geeks n' Nerds event is open and it's full of geeky awesomeness. On top of that Berry, inspired from the event, has a new meme in her blog aiming to find out more about our geekiness. Geeky questions, answers and credits to follow.

1. What do you consider yourself to be? Geek? Nerd? Dork? None of the above? All of the above? I can't really answer that for my self. What I can tell you though is that I have a lot of useless information/trivia stored in that head of mine so that may make me a nerd. I also love science fiction, I have played every cRPG worth playing in the past 15 years (Baldur's Gate still wins) and I have a huge pack of Marvel comics gathering dust somewhere. You decide.

2. What was the first computer you ever owned? An old 386 back in the 90s. It was a gift from my uncle who got a newer one at the time and I was mostly using it to play the original Duke Nukem and Leisure suite Larry (yes, I was a little pervert).

3. When and how did you first get on the internet? During the age of ICQ, trying to score chicks in my early teens.

4. Which geek fandom do you subscribe to? I can't really subscribe to any fan group but I know I love the Star Wars expanded universe (comics, novels, games) and I used to like Marvel universe (the original one, not the crappy movies one) but I haven't really followed the latter for a long time.

5. Star Trek or Star Wars? Since I am a sci-fi geek I like both but I am more of a SW fan. Not the typical SW fanboy though since (as mentioned before) I am not really a fan of the movies but I love the way darker and more interesting expanded universe. I mean you have this awesome source material with lightsaber duels, space knights, space mages and all you do in the prequels is make three crappy movies about boring space politics and Jar Jar Binks. I 'll pass. Also Han shot first.

TAXI to Geeks n' Nerds

This is a post about my new living room and memes of severe introspection. Strawberry posted another meme last Monday and I finally got to it one day before she posts her next. This time it is called the introspection meme and believe me,  I really tried to be seriously introspective but I failed miserably. Bunch of questions, answers and obviously introspective SL furnishing credits to follow.

1. Regardless of your current number how old do you actually feel? I'm 28 and I feel 28 with the occasional geeky moments (they are a lot though).
2. Which is worse, failing or never trying? I'd say never trying but only with carefully calculated risks. Recklessness just to say you tried something equals stupidity in my books.
3. If the average life span was 40 years would you live your life differently ? Probably a bit differently, yes. It's not always a matter of choice though.
4. Are you more worried of doing things right or doing the right things? That's a difficult one. I like to think I am doing the right things the right way and since I am always right and others are wrong, it's not that hard.
5. Would you prefer to be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? Worried genius, blissful ignorance isn't my kind of thing.
6. Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend ?Yes and no. Yes because I've been known to be honest with friends and speak my mind even if I come out as harsh to someone I care for. I expect the same from my friends towards me. No because I keep forgetting to unmute my phone and I'm really bad at returning calls. That's just annoying.
7. Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now? No. It never does in the grand scheme of things.
8. At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive? I ate a really good donut yesterday. I'm really passionate about my donuts.
9. If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job? Yes.
10.  If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today? People I don't know. I'm planning ahead.
11. What do you feel is the difference between being alive and truly living? Well, the way I see it if you wake up and can't really form coherent words, your flesh is kinda peeling and all you can think about is delicious brains, you are not truly alive, you are just a zombie. The  truly living are those people outside with the delicious brains running for their ( true) lives. Just my two cents.
12. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? Because mistakes suck. Most people I know never learn from their mistakes anyway.
13. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you? Pee in the shower. Oh and tell everyone in my RL about SL.
14. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? To develop its obviously superhuman powers of comprehension and perception in order to dominate the world one day. And hopefully remember who gave the advise when that day comes.

This is a post about nerds, cool themed outfits and alien doctors of utmost geekiness. When I opened Google this morning I saw it has a cool doodle to honor the 50th anniversary of "Doctor Who" show (go play it, not going to link you Google). So I guess it's perfect timing for FATEplay to release these awesome "Doctor Who" inspired outfits for the upcoming Geeks n' Nerds event. This a post about shirtless pissy elves and cool piercing sets. I'm always on the look for fantasy stuff so I was happy to discover a new skin place called Alchemy that focuses on this kind of skins. The skin you see above comes in many fantasy tones and it's perfect for that elf look you may have on the works (it even comes with ears!). This is a squeaky clean post about new faMESHed and bath houses of awesomeness. Onsen are traditional bath houses located in hot springs across Japan and as you can see above, these pics are all about pretty Japanese bath houses. I've been a fan of Trompe Loeil stuff and the new release for November's faMESHed round is no exception. The "Kumotori bath house" is available at the event and the meshwork in both exterior and interior is impressive as always. I have to say these pics are barely edited because the raw shots were just as good! It comes with its own landscaping collection (stone pathways, lights, bushes) and you can also grab the items individually if you want.Get your soap and hop in the taxi below!
