April is almost here and yet another round of faMESHed is ready to open its doors. One of the items that first caught my eye in this round is this awesome mesh outfit from Ispachi. It comes with cap, vest/shirt, pants and shoes, all of them very cool looking and you even have the option to buy separate parts if you want. One of my favorite yearly events in SL, Pose Fair, is just around the corner. Pose Fair '13, organized this year by  Hottie Cooterati , starts in two days (Mar 29 - Apr14) and it brings together the best pose creators in Sl to cater to your posing needs. Anyone who has taken at least one pic in SL knows how important is the good choice of a pose in the end result, so you understand why this is an event no SL photographer should miss. The couple pose above is one of the new releases by CnS e-motion, exclusive for Pose fair (yes this is shameless self promotion). This is yet another lazy post of me not bothering to put any clothes on to blog but this time it serves you fine because you get to see this cool new skin! There is a new skin brand in town called Clef de Peau and the "Jules" skin I'm wearing is the first release. March is almost gone and I realized I haven't really made a spring look with all those new releases most SL designers put out this time of the year. So I grabbed miss Leroux from Not Just  a Pixel and made one! This is the second meme I'm doing in just a few days, I must be sick! Once again picked up from Berry's blog (she is on a meme roll lately), it's called "the procrastination meme" and this time I'm going to copypaste ten questions you never actually asked me and I will post the answers to them so I can call all of you nosy. It didn't end well. I've also shot people with sperm bolts coming from an awesome huge sparkly penis, I have in my inv (not copypasta from Berry, true story). I'm mostly boring though.

I don't know about you but , being both a nerd and born in the mid 80's, I always feel nostalgic when I stumble upon old gaming consoles I used to have as a child, game boys, cartridges etc. This was the reason I totally "nerded" all over the place when I saw Cheeky Pea's item for this month's round of Mens Dept! As you can see this vintage gaming console looks awesome and it became a perfect addition for my living room. Just a quick heads up about an upcoming event for the guys in April. MWFW 2013 (mens wear fashion week) will be held from April 19th to 27th and it is one of the few events exclusively for men. As you can see in the event ad above (courtesy of the talented Aspen Huntress, check her stream out) this year's theme is "the future of fashion". Furthermore if you think you can look as awesome as these guys (except for the dude in the middle with the coat, he's kinda meh) then you should definitely participate in the MWFW castings taking place on March 23rd. Seems March is the month of events in SL and a bane to my wallet. One of these events is the brand new "Boutique" event by the Liaison Collaborative. I admit that I'm really bad at following all these memes and challenges going on in SL blogs. Yesterday though I stumbled upon this meme post on Strawberry Singh's blog and it seemed like a really fun idea. So here are my seven SL facts you probably don't really want to know but I will put them before the credits so you will have to see them anyway (evil laugh).

My 7 SL facts :


Fact #1 : I'm a hermit in SL. You have probably heard other SLers saying that too but it's true, I rarely leave my sky platform unless I go shopping, take a pic or fall from it (I fall a lot).

Fact #2 : "Sleepy" typo frenzy. The few people I actually DO hang out with in SL are in completely different timezones so in order to see them I stay awake way more than I should. This results in a massive amount of "sleepy" typos if I'm in chat during that time and an insane amount of coffee consumption next morning.

Fact #3 : Younger than I look. I'm in SL since the summer of '09 but in truth I'm way younger than that. I have taken really long breaks (no logging in at all) so my true SL age is 2 years old which is a good excuse for my occasional noobness.

Fact #4 : I hate my full SL name. When I made the account I didn't plan on staying long (made it because of an article I was writing about SL at the time) but seriously who puts freakin dates in their names (me apparently). On the bright side I get a good laugh at quite a few SLers with poor observation skills over the years who have asked me my age.

Fact #5 : Skins and eyes loyalist. While I do change my outfit in SL almost daily, I very rarely change my skin and eyes. I will try different ones for specific looks and pics but I always have my "regular" skin and eyes that I change 1-2 times a year at most.

Fact #6: I love SL photography. It's the first thing I miss everytime I take a long break and my flickr account (well, the old one before it got deleted for no freakin reason) was the same age as my avatar. Over the last year I have even started trying my hand at making poses for CnS e-motion (shameless self promo).

Fact #7 : I've had pixel sex once. With system layer socks on. White system layer socks. It was good.

There are so many events going on these days that I'm left so much behind in my blogging, it's not even funny! New Arcade, faMESHed, Mens Dept, Collabor88 and the upcoming Boutique event are sure to give a hard time to your sl wallets. One thing most of these events have in common is the quality of the home & decor stuff they have. In this post you can see the new release from HANDverk for this month's Mens Dept amongst other things. The set includes the chair and the table set and it comes with animations. One of the attractions of the new Arcade round is the gacha from Scarlet Apple (collaboration between Apple Fall and Scarlet Creative). My favorite item from this gacha (which happens to be the rare item too) is this awesome "blockhead" piece. They have changeable textures with different faces (both male and female) and in the same machine you can find assorted blocks to go with them. The neat wall art is also from Scarlet Apple's gacha, grab the taxi and go try your luck!

It's March already and the much anticipated new round of Arcade gacha event is here once again. Lots of goodness this round too and as always the quality of the items is awesome. In the pic above you can see (amongst other things) three items from the gachas at the event, the lamp from Trompe Loeil (still trying to get the steampunk one!), the chair and desk from DIGS and that neat looking vintage music box from Contraption. Just like the previous rounds there are various yard sales set up already all over the grid so if you can't find that rare item you want, there is always hope!
