This is a post about red coats of badassery, key necklaces, layer clothing and a tad bit of nerdiness. I have to confess that I have become a total mesh snob over the past year, I 've deleted most of my old layer stuff and it's been more than a year since the last time I 've worn any kind of layer clothing. So you can imagine my frustration when this neat coat's name gave me an idea for a nerdy look and there was no way I could pull it off by wearing a mesh tank on the inside. Of course the new coat from FATEwear comes with its own shirt and tie to match with and they look awesome but I didn't want to clean up that much for the look I had in mind. So I resorted to the unthinkable, wore a random basic layer tank (after digging really deep in my inventory) and I have to say layer clothing is still good for something after all! The other item I wanted to focus on is this really cool key necklace from Tableau Vivant available at this month's faMESHed. I'm always excited to see more male/unisex mesh accesories and this one is an excellent piece! Credits and linkage to follow.

This is a lazy Saturday evening post about wine, beaches and lack of shirt. I had this dock build by DIGS for a while now and I wanted to do a pic with it so I asked gorgeous miss Leroux here to be my girl prop and got to it. The dock comes with a bunch of animations and props in it (yes, adult version too). This is a post about roleplay, wizards and magical staffs of baldification. Damien Fate of FATEwear is branching out to roleplay/fantasy apparel with his new brand FATEplay. Having spent a lot of time in marketplace trying to find good fantasy themed mesh amongst piles of ripped content from the gaming industry, I was really excited to learn about the launch of the new brand. The outfit you see above was part of FATEwear's release for Fantasy Fair (just like this outfit here) but now you can find the full color line at FATEplay and that's just the beginning! This is a post about fears, me being a wuss and lots of water. Don't let the title fool you, this is not a post about anal sex. It is Tuesday so that probably means two things, SL is being a bitch with the rolling restarts and Berry has posted a new meme/blog challenge. This one is called "the Haunted meme" and it's about letting the world know about one of your fears (accompanied with a pic of course). It can be anything from heights and spiders to Cher and the lack of lube so I had to put a little thought on that. A lot of fears came to mind but most of them were mental and seemed too common and rational (death, old age, loosing your mind) so I went for the one thing that makes me uneasy for no apparent reason. Deep, dark water.
At this point I have to clarify that I'm in no way afraid of the sea since I live in a country with literally thousands of islands and I've been swimming since before I even remember myself. I can trace the first time I really felt that uneasy feeling back when I was 16 and on holidays alone with a bunch of friends for the first time without parents. We were staying for a few days in a small island and naturally we were spending most of our time on the beach. The locals have told us not to wander too far from the shore line because the waters deepened suddenly due to an underwater chasm but of course me and two other friends didn't pay much attention and we started drifting while talking about stuff 16 year old dudes talk. Wasn't long before we realised we have drifted a little too far from the shore and that was when we noticed the drastic change in the color of water around us. Even if it was still day the water was close to pitch black (not even the deep blue kind) and at that exact moment it hit me (my friends too) and we started swimming back without delay.
It wasn't the kind of fear that scares you and causes panic, it was more like that uneasy feeling creeping slowly inside and a voice in your head telling you "you really should NOT be here". Suffice to say we reached shallow water panting from the distance we had to swim. After asking around that night we found out that a few miles further from that area is one of the deepest parts of the Mediterranean. We never went to that beach again!
I've caught myself thinking about what exactly gave me that feeling back then everytime I look at deep "open sea" water. At first thought the fear sure seems irrational since sharks around here are a really rare sight, the weather was good and there was no chance Great Cthulhu could be sleeping below me! I can only guess it is the fear of the unknown, the feeling that on the slim chance something is lurking below, you will never see it and even if you do you are way out of your element to do something about it.That said I've had a blast going night swimming many times since then because what good fears are if you never try to conquer them. Just don't go too deep...

This is a post about the new Mens Dept round, Home Show and the complete lack of shirt. The reason I indulge in shirtless Sunday blogging once more is to show you this very interesting skin I picked up from the brand new round of Mens Dept. The skin is by Kooqla and I'm always happy to discover skin stores that don't make skins with humongous man boobs and abs you can play tic-tac-toe on them. As I mentioned already you can grab it at the new Mens Dept along with a bunch of other cool stuff. Furthermore Mens Dept changed their policy so now you will only find original mesh content (no templates) offered, a step towards the right direction in my humble opinion. This is a post about brogues, faMESHed and HUDs. New faMESHed round is open (and will stay that way until the end of the month) and as always a lot of goodies to spend your lindens on. This time the first thing that caught my eye were the new brogues by Kauna offered at the event. Not only they are really well made but they also come with a gazillion of customizing options. The HUD included in the pack lets you change everything, from sole type and color to laces and heel, which is probably why it is so freakin huge! This is a quick post about a new event, beach volleyball, poses and butts. Pose events are amongst my favorite (as a photographer/blogger I'm always in need of them) and since they are kinda rare, I was happy to learn that TLC has a new event on the works. Poser Pavilion has opened its doors on the 25th (until July 5th) and its full of summer-themed pose goodness. This beach volleyball set you see above is WetCat's item for this round and since I couldn't play by myself, I asked Eve's butt to come join me for an 1on1 (which would still be impossible to play IRL but oh well...). Before that though I want to say I did a little happy dance when I saw Mr. Truth finally decided to make hair for guys (you can see it in the pic above)...about time!
- Which was the last sim you visited? : Baja Norte beach, to do the aforementioned pic
- Does your avatar look like the real you? It definitely looks better! I try to maintain some resemblance like facial shape, stubble, skin tone but I could do with my AV's six pack and the ability to have full body tats at whim!
- Do you wear underwear underneath when out and about on the grid? Usually commando, except that one time in that strip club with the animal print (don't ask).
- If you won a million linden dollars what would be the first thing you buy inworld? Probably land to setup my own store and making it a sim for photographers/bloggers.
- Have you ever bought something and then realized afterwards that you had already owned it from before? No. My inventory is a totally unsorted mess but somehow I have avoided that.
- Have you ever done anything in Second Life that would be considered illegal in real life? Indecent exposure, all the time.

This is a post about bikes with womanly parts on them and rider boots. I love bikes in RL and I just had to do a pic with the new chopper prop from HISpose. Imagine my joy when, upon rezzing, I saw that not only the poses in it are really cool but the chopper itself is a hot piece of a$$ (literally). It made the perfect prop since I also wanted to show you the new rider boots from Redgrave. They come in 4 colors and a nice pair of mesh jeans, (made to go with the boots), is included. It's time for my dorky moment of the week and once again I'll use one of Berry's memes/blog challenges as an excuse. This one is about creating a movie poster for your SL avatar (RL inspired or not) and that's what I tried to do in the pic above. It's obviously inspired by "The 40 year old virgin" movie and I chose it because I'm totally a SL virgin too, I've never seen SL genitals and I think "Bukkake bliss" is a sim about Japanese cuisine (also that poster was one of the few I could do with my inferior PS skills)! You probably know it already but if you live under an SL rock, know that Arcade is open once again! This round has more creators than any of the previous and loads of cool stuff to feed your gacha addiction. It took me two days to finally enter the event grounds due to it being constantly full, which says something about its success. As always there are various gacha yard sales where people can look for that elusive rare or put up for sale their spares, after all trading is part of the fun of a gacha, right? Summer is here and with it some of my favorite events return. One of them, faMESHed, opened its doors once again at June 1st and as always it's full of goodies. While faMESHed has lots of good mesh clothing I always find myself heading for the furniture pieces first. Some of my favorite sets in my inventory are items from faMESHed and the June round continued the tradition. The set in the pic above is by Trompe Loeil, available at faMeshed and as you can see it is quality. All the items you see in the pic are parts of "Cobble Hill" bedroom suite (and some you cannot see since I ran out of room), the skybox is from Vespertine.
