This is a post about cool living room sets, travelers and Arcade;s March round. When I'm buying a new house I'm guilty of just decorating one room and leaving the rest empty because I kinda suck at it. This time the room of choice is the living room and that's because I really wanted to use the new living set by Digs. It comes with chairs, couches, decor and pretty much everything you need for a living room set. Additionally I kept a small corner empty so I could put there this cool traveler's set by Consignment. It is a gacha set and you can find it in the new Arcade round (good luck getting in though).

This is a post about surprisingly well dressed cyberpunk dudes, blog memes and books. I haven't written anything for a while here and once again Berry's Monday meme helped with my writer's block. This time you have to answer a few questions related to your literary preferences and since I'm a big fan of the cyberpunk genre, I thought it was quite fitting for the pic I had ready.
- Are you a bookworm? I used to be quite the bookworm when I was younger (I started reading really early as a kid) but nowadays not so much.
- Which do you prefer: hardcover, paperback or electronic? Hardcover. They look better, smell better and they need no charging. I'm old school like that.
- Which book is your favorite? I don't really have a favorite book because I've liked so many over the years. I could say Lovecraft's works for their influence over their genre, Gibson's Neuromancer for pretty much the same reason and anything by Arthur Clarke but still there are so many more.
- Which children’s book is your favorite? This is easier to answer because despite all the books I 've read as a kid, two book series were my absolute favorites. The first was Three Investigators, a kid detective book series (prologued by the man himself, Alfred Hitchcock) that I was in love with. The second were of course the infamous Goosebumps.
- What’s the last book you’ve read? An old horror fiction classic called The King in Yellow. Blame HBO's True Detective for that.
- Name your top five favorite writers: This one is hard. I'd say H.P Lovecraft, Arthur Clarke, Edgar Allan Poe, Jules Verne and Philip K. Dick. There are many modern day writers I like but I prefer mentioning the classics since they pretty much defined their genres.
- Name a book that had a strong impact on you: Fifty shades of grey. I kinda knew people are stupid but 90 million copies later I was sure of it.
- Favorite & least favorite book genres? Well as you can tell from the answers above I'm a big fan of science fiction, mystery and horror. Non fiction bores me and I would choose torture over having to read any kind of romance novel.
- Favorite & least favorite book-to-movie adaptations? Despite many claims to the contrary I really liked the way Lord of the Rings was adapted to the big screen. I'm very lenient with book-to-movie renditions because I realize the difficulty behind them but I have to say War of the Worlds was a really bad one (even as a loose adaptation). I just hate Tom Cruise too.
- Have you ever bought a book based on the cover alone? Yes, especially as a kid.
- Where do you usually buy your books? From the biggest bookstore in the city center. My parents used to take me there as a kid and it just stuck.
- Do you go to the library? No.
- How many books do you own? Several hundreds but I haven't read them all. I have a bookcase the size of a room wall which includes many of my late uncle's books. I don't think I will ever manage to read everything in there.
- If you were to write a book about Second Life, which topic would you focus on? SLex, duh.

This is a post about men stuff, shirtlessness and terrified puppies (from said shirtlessness). Mens Dept February round is open and full of awesome once again. I got this cool new pair of boots from Eudora and this cute little puppy by Birdy (although it does look kinda scared). Final Fantasy fair is another event opening its doors tomorrow and you can find this neat collaboration from HoD and Lovely Disarray there (face paint and piercings on that hairy mug). Make sure to pay a visit in both events, they are definitely worth it!

This is a post about whiteness, blackness, cool suits and blog challenges. I haven't done a B&W shot for a while now but Berry's new blog challenge got me in the mood of doing one. I admit I cheated a little though since this is not really a close up but I kinda suck at portraits. Moreover if I did a close up, you wouldn't be able to see this awesome new suit by epia so it all worked out, right? I am wearing the white version but the suit comes with a script that lets you change colors on individual parts, with many options. Credits to follow.

This is a post about gachas and cool bomber models. Gacha haters may have a lot arguments against them (some valid) but you can't deny that this SL trend is giving the opportunity to creators to come up with some really creative sets. A fine example is this new Airplane model kit by Eleventh Hour available at Oh my gacha event. Having spent quite a few hours putting together models as a kid this set brings back memories. The gacha includes 2 rare items and 6 common and the price for each play is 50L. -
This is just a flash post to show you this cool new bedroom set by DIGS. Quality meshwork as usual, the set includes a bed (duh), various dressers and cabinets, nightstands, lighting and decor like book stacks and wicker boxes. Everything you see in the pic above is part of the bedroom set, except for the wall art (Leezu for past Arcade round) and the house which is brand new from Trompe Loeil for Collabor 88. -

This is yet another post about awesome events for guys and sharp looking malts. I mentioned in the previous post that the latest round of Mens Dept is awesome. What I didn't mention is that it is that awesome that it prompted miss Leroux from Not just a Pixel to finally update her male alt. It only took a few minutes of shopping and only a reasonable amount of L$ for that dude with the layer clothes and outdated mohawk to come back a sharp looking (as seen above) gent. So ladies grab those dusty malts or your boyfriend who stubbornly refuses to change his prim biker boots and his layer wifebeater tank and tp to Mens Dept. You won't regret it.

This a post about awesome events for guys, steampunk fireplaces, and bars made of boats. Mens Dept is the "to go" event for guys for some time now but in my humble opinion this round is the best so far. Not only it is full with quality mesh clothing but the home & garden items you can find there are impressive as well.
